How to make Karela Gosht, Beef Bitter Gourd

Karely Gosht or Beef Bitter Gourd!

Bitter gourd recipes aren’t for everyone, and the name alone is enough to have some people running in the opposite direction! But some people love it, I am one of those people. Let me see if I can convinced anyone to give this delicious combo of beef & bitter gourd, So here I go with the recipe of beef bitter gourd or comonly known as karely gosht…

Ingredients:
½ kg bitter gourd or Karely
1 kg beef or motton
2 tomatoes chopped
3 Onions chopped
2 tbsp garlic chopped
3,4 green chillis chopped
1 tbsp salt
1 tbsp red pepper powder
½ tsp turmeric powder
¾ cup cooking oil
Cooking oil for frying bitter gourd
Some extra salt to remove the bitter taste of bitter gourd
Method:

Peel and cut bitter gourd into slices then put some salt in it and wash it off after 15 minutes. In a pressure cooker, put beef or motton, add onion, tomatos, green chillis, garlic and all spices and pressure it for 30 minutes. In the mean time fry bitter gourd in oil till brown and keep them a side. After 30 minutes open the cooker and dry excess water of beef. Then add cooking oil and bhoonify. Put some green chillis on top and simmer for 3 minutes more.

Serve with tandoor ki roti or naan.
